VoiceNG is an AI-powered spoken word and poetry platform built for African storytellers. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. By using VoiceNG, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Your name, email address, and profile details when you register.
• Audio & Video Performances: Recordings you upload or record within the app as part of your performances.
• Profile Data: Stage name, profile image, location, and biography you choose to share.
• Payment Information: Payment details processed securely via our payment providers. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
• Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the app, including views, likes, comments, and tips sent or received.
• Communications: Messages sent between users on the platform.
• Device Information: Device type, operating system, and browser information for technical support purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the VoiceNG platform.
• Process payments and manage earnings/withdrawals for creators.
• Enable social features such as following, tipping, commenting, and live shows.
• Run talent challenges and distribute prize payments.
• Send notifications about activity on your account.
• Improve the platform using aggregated, anonymised analytics.
• Respond to support requests and resolve disputes.

4. Sharing Your Information

5. Audio & Video Content

Performances (audio and video) you upload to VoiceNG are stored on our servers and may be viewable by other users on the platform. By uploading content, you grant VoiceNG a licence to display and distribute that content within the app. You retain ownership of your original content.

You can delete your performances at any time from your profile. Deleted content is removed from public view immediately and purged from our servers within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
